Let's set a few ground rules here before the place is overrun with Force users.
1: A Jedi is not invincible. Sure, they're strong warriors, but they can't deflect every blaster that's fired at them.
2: The Force is very difficult to master, and it takes years to fully learn. If your character has connections with the Force, he can't just run around Force pushing people and mind tricking guards as soon as he gets it. Granted, they do have some minor abilities at first, but I don't want to someone who just learned they have the Force mind tricking their way past an army. Nurture, not nature.
3: Lightsabers are also difficult to master. If someone without the Force tries to use one, they're much more likely to sever their own head than their enemy's.
4: If you make a Galactic Civil War-era Jedi, remember that there are only a handful left in the galaxy, and that they are being hunted by the Empire.
5: Seven Force powers are the limit. Also, remember that using the Force fatigues a person, and if you're on the Dark Side, using the Force destroys your body as well as fatiguing (If you're a Sith Lord who uses the force a lot, you'll have scars and stuff like that).
If you make a Jedi character, remember this; in the Galactic Civil War-era, Jedi are extremely rare. Most of them were killed in the Clone Wars, so they're are only a handful left in the universe. They are also hunted by the Empire, so if you do make a Jedi character, remember that he'll be shot on sight by Imperials if they find out who he/she is.
If you make a character for the Knights of the Old Republic-era, remember that Jedi are shot on sight in this era, also. Sith (Evil Jedi) are plentiful, and most of them work for the Sith army.
